[/size]carter aiden reagan groaned slightly as he turned over on his bed. the alarm clock had began blaring numerous tunes of popular music on the radio at the current time. groggily, his hand searched for the snooze or off button. finally he gave up, sitting up and wiping his eyes. hoping that would clear the blurryness, sure enough looking over at the alarm clock's flashing red letters, he saw that it was eleven a.m. he had slept later than he had originally planned too, with a sigh carter pushed the off button and the tunes immediately ceased, much to his please. running a hand through his dark hair, carter shoved the covers of his bed off of himself, swinging his legs over to the side. oh how he hated waking up in the mornings. he was surprised it was actually in his own bed. or well not really, during the summer his player ways usually ceased, especially after band camp. he usually got his fill of what he needed there.
finally gathering up his strength, carter forced himself out of bed. stretching as he walked over to his window. pushing open the curtains, he let the june sun shine through the glass. it was no doubt another warm, summer day. with not a trace of a single cloud in the sky. so in other words, the weather seemed quite promising. walking over to his closet, carter threw on a plain dark blue t-shirt and a regular pair of faded denim jeans. as he walked into his bathroom to brush his messy hair, he thought about what to do on that day. maybe going to the park would be a good idea, it would get him out of the house. and of course give the womanizer a chance to meet potential dates. yeah, the park definitely sounded like a good idea. exiting the bathroom, carter through on his shoes. before grabbing his cell phone and heading downstairs.
he greeted his foster mother, laura with a smile. she was like a mother to him, since his actual mother had been in prison since carter was four. he never really remembered her and to tell the truth, he never really wanted too. that might sound bad but it's just what happens when your mother was a drug addict who never took care of you. leaving you to fend for yourself at a very tender age. and then there was the case of his father. he tried to never think about his father. although he usually came up pretty often in carter's therapy sessions. speaking of those, he noted to himself that he had one at six o'clock that evening. they were okay, he didn't mind them. but there was lots of other stuff that he would rather be doing.
it had been about a month since band camp let out, it had lasted for about two weeks, but strangely carter missed it. yeah, most people looked at him funny whenever he mentioned he was in band. but it wasn't like he played the clarinet or piccalo. he played the drums, the director called him drummer boy. mainly because she wasn't good at remembering names, and for the fact that he was one of the only drummers actually in the high school band. carter liked playing the drums, he could take all his frustration out on them without anyone getting hurt. he told his foster mom where he was going and set off on a walk to the park. he didn't have his license yet, although he had a permit. his foster father had assured him that he would be gotten a car once his actual license were obtained. and when carter had done his fair share of chores.
the day was warm, without it being too hot. it was a nice walk considering, the streets of new york weren't very crowded. much to carter's surprise. but then again, the park wasn't that far away from his house. and it didn't really run through downtown new york. where it was sure to be overly crowded. he couldn't help but glance at a few of the girls walking by, that was just him. it was a part of who he was. reaching the park, he noticed that it didn't have particularly many people there. except for a few people and parents with their toddlers. who were out playing on the playground and chasing each other. it was a sweet sight to carter. mainly because he was happy that those kids wouldn't have to go through the same thing that he had, had to go through.
blinking, he spotted a familiar brunette. one who had became friends, or something like that with at band camp. paige hendrix, he had slept with her. and he was pretty sure that she had been a virgin at the time. carter was never really the hit it and forget it type of guy, he always made a effort to show the girls he hadn't forgot about them. he walked slowly over to her a smile like smirk on his face. "hey." he said to her.
