jared elijah dalton was born to regina and laurence dalton on june twenty third, nineteen ninety two. he was not the first born but instead the third child. he was, however, the first boy. his father was ecstatic to finally have a heir to his last name and regina had always wanted a baby boy from the very beginning. to put it truthfully, he grew up as a mother's boy. usually it's always the father who teaches the son baseball. but jared's father was a important business man, always gone on business trips and never home. although he wanted to be and regretted it. regina taught jared baseball, the sport he fell in love with and eventually became the star player in.
jared's family grew up in new york city, well, mainly him, his mother, and two older sisters. after one of his sisters went off to college and his mother revealed horrible news, she had developed cancer. luekimia, and she didn't have a very good chance of living without treatment. jared was optmistic that she would be just fine with the treatments, although he was crushed by the cancer news. he often leaned on his best friend, minnie, through it all. whom he had met when he was eight and became best friends with. he had also secretly been in love with her since the day they met.
the treatments began, and everything was fine for a few weeks. jared got into a fight with his mother over his father's parenting ways, soon after. he was so angry he left to spend a weekend with his father. when he got back the whole family was there and in hysterics. jared soon learned that his mother had, had a allergic reaction to the treatment and had passed away. he hated himself afterwards, he never even got to say goodbye. he felt like it was his fault. when he turned sixteen he got her intials tattooed on his wrist, to symbolize her death. to remember her.
his father began spending more time at home and his other sister left for college as well. jared is a little resentful towards his father due to him never being around much when he was younger.
