lyric malese rhymes was born to rihanna and devon rhymes. naturally, devon was a big shot music producer. and after a one night stand with rihanna, she called him out of the blue to tell him she was pregnant. and that he was the only possible father. devon freaked but took responsibilty. after spending time with rihanna, he fell in love with her. and in her seventh month, he married her. he wanted the child more than anything. so he cleaned up his images and began focusing on his career and his upcoming family.
rihanna went into labor on november twelfth, she was only expecting one baby girl. she went through thirty hours of labor and no one could understand why. at five thirteen the first baby girl was born, yep that's right there was more than one. twins. lyric arrived second, the unexpected one. rihanna and devon were shocked. rihanna had picked out the name for the firstborn, therefore, they did not have a name prepared for the second child. so rihanna gave devon the honor of naming her. due to his love of music, he named her lyric. unusual, sure. but little did they know it would end up fitting her very nicely. lyric malese rhyme. the younger twin.
the twins grew up in new york city, and from the beginning lyric was always a performer. she would stand up in her high chair singing into a spoon. she was more of a daddy's girl growing up, while her sister was a mommy's girl. she's very close with her sister, in fact she is her best friend. at the age of ten, lyric's father taught her how to play guitar and piano and before long she was writing songs. she began performing at fairs and carnivals at the age of thirteen, and has plans to produce tracks with her father in the future.
at school lyric didn't fit in very well at first. after being called fat by a popular girl, her life spiraled out of control. she stopped eating and began excercising. and since then, it has developed into a full blown eating disorder. although she will deny it with all her being. the symptoms are there, but she figures no one notices. ever since she has started dropping weight her popularity has increased. therefore, she believes doing this to herself is the key in everything.
