shiloh annaleigh brendansometimes i walk a little faster in the school hallway just to get next to you some days i spend a little extra time in the morning just to impress you ------ ♥ ------ Shiloh felt anxious as she rummaged through a cardboard box almost as tall as she was. It was packed with books, video games, sports equipment, and..
"Aaahhh!"
A screech could be heard from the side of the room she'd been rather silent on. Jumping back from the shock, Shiloh watched as a small, eight legged creature emerged from the box, and quickly crawled across the floor into a small crack in the wall.
Taking a deep breath, the raven haired cutie could only laugh at herself, her cheeks turning only faintly red while her eyes looked almost bashful under her bangs which ran in a straight line, sitting comfortable on top of her eyelashes. Shiloh was not new to the dating game, she knew how to flirt with the best of them, and she was no stranger to kissing, but when it came time to actually be some one's actual girlfriend, Shiloh had often shyed away. It wasn't that she hadn't liked any one enough to date them. In fact, no guy had ever asked her. Truth be told, while she'd had her share of kisses, Shiloh had always been seen as the girl next door, the little sister and the best friend. Never once had a guy actually considered her potential to be an amazing girlfriend, and she would often hear phrases such as, "Shiloh, if every girl in the world was as cool as you, I think guys would swear they'd found heaven."
It was sentences such as those that would often get her hopes up before she became completely crushed under the pressure of never being pretty enough or feminine enough.
Shiloh had always been raised to be herself, and lately, she felt as if pretending to be a fisherman's daughter with no money just wasn't cutting it. She was beginning to feel as if she were expected to live up to certain expectations, to act more like her sister, Minnie, and to throw away everything she dreamed and believed in just to get a date for a Saturday night.
"Umm..spider.."
A nervous giggle escaped her unglossed lips. With her medium length hair pulled back into a ponytail, Shiloh let her eyes run over Logan's five foot, ten inch body. It was clear he had a little build to him. He was tan in color with neat, yet bushy eyebrows, and had shaggy, black hair. Taking a deep breath, Shiloh fought the dreamy look dying to release itself.
"So dinner was cool. I can't say I get to see a waiter who's trying to show off trip over a carpet and spill six dinners."
Shiloh giggled.
It didn't take long after that for the room to grow silent again, and after clearing her throat, Shiloh simply turned to continue rummaging through the large cardboard box. While reaching more towards the bottom of the box, Shiloh had forgotten about the tattoo she's gotten a few months back on the small of her back of a small black snake spelling out the word family. While she'd been reaching, her shirt had risen up just enough to see the ink on her smooth, tanned back.
The fifteen year old girl had thought nothing of it as she placed a few books on a nearby book shelf. Her heart was racing, and of course she found Logan to be quite attractive, but she'd already shone her colors around him. She assumed she knew exactly how he felt. He'd only see her as that sister type or best friend type. It was a curse. She was cursed.
"So this box is almost done. Are there any other boxes? If not, I'm pretty sure I have time to kick your ass in a video game before we head over to Lyric's Michael Jackson party."
Shiloh grinned, her smile beaming with light while her eyes shimmered. It wasn't often she had a radiant glow about her. In fact it was quite rare, and when it happened, she hardly noticed it. Those were the moments she was normally too caught up in to notice how feminine she could truly be.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - logan parker stood next to his closet putting his cloths in. he had way more than any guy should have. his mom had insisted on him buying tons of cloths. "girls respect a guy who knows how to dress," she insisted. and being the guy that he was, logan nathaniel parker wanted nothing more than to be the guy that every girl wanted. when he heard a scream he dropped the cloths he was about to hang up and turned toward the sound. it had come from shiloh his newest friend. logan laughed as she got an embarrassed look on her face and she told him it was a spider. "a girl who can beat any guy's ass in video games and she's afraid of a spider," he sighed shaking his head teasingly.
when shi went back to the box she was currently unpacking, logan couldn't help but stare at her for a minute. she was gorgeous no doubt, but she was a little too young for him and besides to her he was just a guy that she actually had competition against in video games. when she giggled it made him smile. shiloh was the kind of girl that he was looking for when it came to relationships. at least he thought so. he had never been in a real relationship so he didn't have much to go on.
"yeah. he was trying so hard to impress you. at least i know who my competition is," he said kidding slightly. logan didn't know if shiloh had a boyfriend but he was guessing not. she wouldn't have agreed to go out with him would she? when he had originally talked about getting something to eat he hadn't thought of it as a date. but then when she made it sound like a date he couldn't help but be happy it was. though he kept trying to repeat in his mind that they were just friends. no one wanted to date the new guy that no one knew.
just as logan was about to go back to the cloths he took one last peek at shiloh. her shirt had gone up just a little and what he saw made his eyes widen. there was a little tattoo of a snake spelling the word family. it made the girl in his room so much hotter and he bit his lip to keep from saying anything. when she turned around to tell him the box was finished he gulped. had she noticed him staring. "oh umm i-i think that's it," he said with a stutter. damn logan. get it together. she doesn't like you, he yelled at himself in his head. why did he always get crushes on the girls that were unavailable?
he laughed at her comment. logan was a master at video games and he would be very surprised if she was able to beat him. then the party, that was a different story. it was basically going to be him and a bunch of shi's friends. hopefully it would give him a chance to meet some new people but his luck it would only cause him to feel left out. you would think the senior would be a little more confident especially after what he had read over the chat. a few girls had called him hot already and the first time he had talked to shiloh she had been calling herself shiloh annaleigh parker. logan was flattered by it and had even told her he liked the name. and to top it off, the first time he had actually seen the gorgeous girl was when she was spying on him from her window which was right across from his.
"we'll see about that. pick the game," he said with a flirty smile as he walked away from his closet and over to sit next to her on the ground. logan was sitting closer to her then he probably needed to be but he couldn't help his hormones. he leaned against the bed and waited for her to pick the game.
as she looked, logan couldn't help but check her out again. her hair even just pulled back into a ponytail looked shiny and perfect. her small petite body with the sexy tattoo. the only thing that bothered him was her age. he had just turned eighteen and she was getting ready to turn sixteen so there was quite a difference. not that it mattered because no way would a girl like shiloh ever go out with a guy like him. things like that just didn't happen to him. "so are you meeting anyone at this party tonight?" that was his shy way of asking her if she had a boyfriend or someone she liked. if she did, he was sure to be at the party. logan couldn't believe the kind of jealousy that made him feel just thinking about her being with someone else. he had only known the girl for a few days.

shiloh annaleigh brendansometimes i walk a little faster in the school hallway just to get next to you some days i spend a little extra time in the morning just to impress you ------ ♥ ------ She paused for a moment. Had he just used the word competition? She felt, for a moment, as if she were making this stuff up, as if an older, gorgeous guy who, so far, had all of the same interests would have even the slightest interest in her as more than just a buddy, a pal.
"Yea..heh.."
A nervous giggle left her lips, and she pulled her shirt down, the air conditioning in his room had caused a chill to shiver up her spine. As she stood in silence for a few moments, she finished putting what was left in the box away. It was humorous to her, helping Logan unpack. She was usually unpacking her own things while Minnie sat on the edge of her bed, filing her nails and painting them while talking about fashion, her latest crush or what colors matched her complexion best. She usually had one of their nannies or house staff unpack her luggage for her. It was funny how alike, and unalike the two twins were at the same time.
She'd gotten lost in her own amusement, and for a moment, had forgotten Logan was standing in the same room as her, let alone that she was standing in his room. It was more spacious than it had appeared from her bedroom window which she could see perfectly from where she was standing.
"I guess I have to get curtains or something now.."
She left her sentence dangling in mid air while she took the time to give him a menacing grin, her nose wrinkled slightly, and small dimples appearing as the walked over to the space near his bed.
"We can't have me becoming the girl next door or anything."
She giggled, taking a seat on the floor as he called her out on her challenge, pushing her to pick a game. To reality, he was a boy accepting a challenge, but in Shiloh's mind was the painted image of a male lion letting loose his deadliest roar to not only protect his territory and pride, but also, to impress a nearby lioness.
Shiloh scrunched herself up into a ball with her knees pressed into her chest while her arms hugged them, keeping them in place. It was odd, but it was the way she always sat when she had her back against something.
"Hmm.."
It was her response for him as he sat next to her, asking her to pick a game, and before she could come up with a wise ass remark, he'd managed to pull out a box full of games. Shiloh only raised her eyebrow, her grin growing wider as her fingers playfully rummaged through the boxes of game, her eyes fixated on different colors that colored in several shaped which made up the designs and titles on each of the games.
She'd been so busy focusing on each of the colored, and cleverly names boxes, she hadn't noticed how close he was actually sitting to her, and when she'd finally chosen one, she looked up quickly with the same adorable grin with the same adorable dimples, and before she could declare the name of the game she'd chosen, she felt herself become short of breath, and her eyes were staring directly into his. It was then she'd noticed exactly how close she was to the older boy who she'd taken a rather quick interest to.
"Umm..Mario..ermm..smashcart.."
She felt her heart begin to race while her thoughts became jumbled and the grin she'd so colorfully displayed for him slowly faded as she raced to find the words, composure and logic to make it through the next hour. It was the that they would be heading to Lyric's house for a party styled memorial service for Michael Jackson.
"You saw the tattoo.."
It hit her as soon as she'd gained control of her thoughts again. The small stain on the small of her back must have been revealed when her shirt had risen before.
"Listen..no one knows about it. I had this guy I know go with me to consent for me. I just wanted something that would remind me of my family when I couldn't be near them. I chose a black snake spelling out family because my family is the most important thing in my life, black is my favorite color, and a snake swallows it's victims whole. No one knows about it though, not even Minnie so..please don't tell any one!"
She began rambling, assuming the only reason he'd taken even the slightest interest in her was because of the tattoo, and with that, she could only prepare herself for excrutiating heart ache.
"Umm..does Spence count?"
She'd been thrown off guard by his question, and she could feel her heart beat racing again, and she couldn't help but find herself lost in the pools of silky, milk chocolate he called eyes.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - why was he getting so distracted by this girl? she was basically a kid and was just doing him a favor with helping so why couldn't he get her out of his head? logan didn't know what he would do if she actually had a boyfriend. even though he had just met her, it would probably crush him. he was brought back from his thoughts when shiloh said something about curtains. the senior turned and looked toward her room before looking back at her. "i think i like it better without curtains," he said with a smirk on his face. logan was sure that he was going to like the gorgeous girls room being right across from his. man, had his parents picked a good place to move to.
the boy pulled out a big box filled with video games. he had almost everything that they ever made to go with all of his game systems. his mom getting the fortune had been the best thing to happen to his family. though he wasn't the only parker brother who was spoiled. carson and caden had just about everything they could ever want. thinking about his brothers made him wonder where they were. hopefully they wouldn't come in, the last thing he needed was his brothers embrassing him. they both had stated clearly what they thought about the neighbors. carson and caden had both told him over and over again that there was no way shiloh would go out with him because she was way too pretty. very supportive brothers.
he was so close to the girl as she picked a game. he could have easily kissed her and it was strange how stronge the feeling was for him to do so. if only he knew what her true feelings for him was. his eyes rested on her full lips and he took a deep breath. logan needed to get a grip on his hormones. when she straighted back up, he quickly tried to put his eyes back on her bright brown ones. "uhh yeah that-that's a good game," it seemed like carson wasn't the only one who stuttered when he got nervous. the good thing was maybe he could gain some confidence back after this game. it was his favorite and he was pretty good at it. the only problem was he didn't know anything about shiloh's talent when it came to games. but he was sure he was about to find out.
"i uh" he said when she asked him about seeing the tattoo. "maybe just a little" he answered. of course he had saw it. and he had instantly liked it. there seemed to be a lot more to this girl than meets the eye. he listened to her story carefully. even her twin sister didn't know about it? wow that gave him a tiny little ego boost. knowing they shared a secret made him happy for some reason. " i won't say anything," he said shaking his head. if shiloh didn't want people to know, he wasn't going to be the person to tell. "you know, i really like it. girls with tattoo's are sexy," he said with a small smile. he almost couldn't believe he had just said that. it was a little more straight forward then he was used to.
when she answered his question logan couldn't help but laugh a little. was that a no? "i was talking about someone a little more male, " he replied back. with shiloh staring into his eyes like that, it was becoming harder not to kiss her. he leanded in slowly. now he could feel her breath on him. at the last moment he chickened out. "uh yeah so we should probably play. you know if we're going to make the party," he wanted to smack himself. he should have just kissed her but of course he had chickened out.

shiloh annaleigh brendansometimes i walk a little faster in the school hallway just to get next to you some days i spend a little extra time in the morning just to impress you ------ ♥ ------ She wasn't naive, and while she may have been harder on herself than she should have been, it was easy to see he was feeling for her exactly what she was feeling for him at that moment, and his lips hovering only inches from hers was a dead give away.
"Yea..we should play..uhh..the video game! We should play the video game so I can kick your ass and we can go to the party."
Shiloh had only been in his home, in his room, for only an hour and a half. She'd only known him for a couple of days joined by the few hours she'd been with him today, and she felt as if she'd known him her whole life, and while she could have easily kissed him, followed the plan he'd chickened out on, it would have been too easy. She wanted to know more about him, and she wanted to make sure he was some one she wanted to invest her time in. She didn't want another fling. She was on the verge of sixteen, and she'd never had a serious relationship. For once, she wanted to know what it felt like to be able to hold a guy's hand, and kiss him whenever you wanted to.
Ignoring his statement about whether or not she was meeting any one male at the Michael Jackson party, she grinned, he dimples lighting up her smile and she opened the video game case, and carefully removed it.
"So how old are you?"
She already knew, but she'd never officially heard him confirm it. After all, it wasn't fair that he should have the advantage of having the upper hand.
Placing the game into the system, she glanced at him only momentarily with that same grin on her face, however, quickly became distracted by the opening music and introduction screen for the game. As colorful as the box had been, the game proved to be a multitude of colors she never thought possible for anything other than a clown.
"So where did you move here from? And..what do you do for fun?"
She wanted to know more about him, and inquiring was only half the battle. Her ears were filled with the sound of beeps, bloops, dings and dongs as they both chose their characters, and after they had, she quickly pressed start, listening for his answers.
"No..I wasn't meeting any one male there.."
It wasn't fair that she should be asking all the questions and give him nothing in return, and as she did answer his precious questions, she grinned again, hardly focused on the game while her eyes regained their sparkle, glancing momentarily upon the silhouette of his face. He was easy on the eyes, and her heart had never stopped racing. She could still feel herself slowly slipping and losing all control, but her morals were still in tact.
"So what about you, did you have to leave a girl behind?"
She raised an eyebrow, keeping her eyes on the game, but it wasn't long before his answer captured her attention. It was almost too perfect that they should have so much in common, and both could be unattached and single. It was true there was an age difference, however, it wasn't as if they were ten years apart or anything, right?
Shiloh lost concentration on the game, her eyes losing themselves in his again. She'd always promised herself she'd move slow when it came to her first real relationship, but with every moment that passed, she found herself even more intrigued by him.
"You know..we don't have to go to that party..we could just..play more video games.."
She began to grin, dimples and all as her focus turned toward the screen once more for only a moment.
"It looks like you can use a few lessons."
She found herself giggling as her thumbs made quick friends with his controller, a voice booming throughout his room announcing that she'd won. She smugly leaned back, placing her controller in front of her, and once again, like clockwork, her body took control of the reigns, impulsively forcing her to travel into his eyes once more, and just like that, she was lost, again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - every second that they sat there, logan was regretting his decision not to kiss her even more. he had had the opportunity and if she would have pushed him away, well then he would know how she felt about him. but just maybe there had been part of her wanting him to do it. but sadly logan wasn't bold enough to follow through after only knowing the girl a couple days. "i can't believe you still think your going to beat me," he said trying to break the tension in the room. not even his brothers could beat him and they were all pretty good. there was no way she could...right?
he had noticed that she skipped over his question, but chose to answer hers anyway. "eighteen. you?" he had been hoping to avoid this moment. some girls didn't like a huge age difference. and though age was just a number to him he didn't want to make her feel pressured in anyway. but now that he had thought about it she really wouldn't be. there was no way to pressure her if he himself had never been in a serious relationship and he was still a...virgin. he cringed as he thought the words. there was almost no guy out there at the age of eighteen who could say they were a virgin but logan could.
as the game began his fingers started twitching a little. he was actually getting nervous that shiloh could beat him. the definitely wouldn't be good on the ego. logan turned to look at shi as she asked more questions. "albany. umm besides video games, i like to play baseball and...write songs," he hesitated on the last part. people from back at his old school used to call him a geek because he loved to sing and write songs. it's what he was good at. most of the time he just told himself that they were jealous. sometimes it really got on his nerves though. he hoped she wouldn't think it was lame. "but enough about me. have you lived here your whole life? what do you do for fun?" he asked basically repeating her same questions. logan felt like he had known shiloh for a while now but still felt there was a lot to learn. and he actually wanted to take the time to get to know her. she was, after all, his first real friend here.
his fingers moved expertly across the controller. picking his character and messing with the options menu. it surprised him when shi backtracked and answered his first question. so he had been right? "so no boyfriend? " he just wanted to be sure. no way was logan going to go after an already taken girl. he just wasn't like that. the thought of her answer being yes made his tighten stomach. he sure hoped she didn't or he was going to be in for some heart break.
shaking his head he sighed. the girl had found someway to get back on the topic of him. she really was a nosy person whether she wanted to admit it or not. he really couldn't help but laugh at her next question. him having a girl? yeah right. "no way. i'm as single as they come shiloh" he said trying to turn his attention back to the game. the brunette was really distracting at times.
the played for a little bit but it was obvious he wasn't playing his A game. the seniors eyes kept roaming over to her and not paying attention to what was going on on screen. at this rate he could tell he wasn't going to be able to win. he wonder if she was being as easily distracted as he was though. the black haired boy raised an eyebrow. "i wouldn't want to make you miss a chance to hang out with your friends," he said trying to be polite. truth be told he would rather sit in his room alone with shiloh than go to a michael jackson party, no offence to her friends or mj. her dimples were dazzling and he almost pissed her insult thrown in there. "i'm letting you win." he said with a slightly smug look on his face. of course he wasn't but he didn't want to admit defeat even though it was clear who had won.
when the game was over, logan found the two of them in the same position before. it was like god was giving him a second chance but he wasn't taking the bait quite yet. he couldn't. "umm do you want something to drink?" he asked trying to fill the silence. right now was the perfect moment for him to express how he felt but something was keeping him from doing it. maybe it was how unreal it felt. could someone like shiloh actually like a guy like him? he looked back at her getting lost in those eyes. he reached up his hand and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear letting his hand rest on her cheek for a moment.

shiloh annaleigh brendansometimes i walk a little faster in the school hallway just to get next to you some days i spend a little extra time in the morning just to impress you ------ ♥ ------ Eighteen, the simple word, or number if you preferred rang through her ears. It was like a nightmare that had escaped into reality and stabbed her directly in the guy. It wasn't as if she hadn't known, but hearing it out loud, having him confirm it tied her stomach in knots.
Shiloh was big on hooking up with older guys, and dating one would have made her feel as if she'd left her mortal body behind and spiritually traveled to a place so peaceful and serene, so heaven like, that not even her worst enemy could put a frown on her adorable face.
"Eighteen?"
She repeated his answer back to him in question form as if she hadn't heard him at all. It was a silly thing to do, however, it had put her in more shock than she thought it would have. Shiloh Annaleigh Parker had absolutely no objections to getting close with an older boy, within reason, however, Minnie and daddy dearest might have taken the vote to disagree on her latest crush. He was eighteen, and it could be assumed he was experienced, wild and carefree. After all, it's what all father's thought of the boy's pursuing their daughters, specifically those who hadn't quite turned sixteen yet, and even under those circumstances, it was debatable.
"I'm uhh.."
She had to think for a moment. Lies wouldn't work in this scenario, and there was no way for her to escape the question, and so swallowing the dry lump that had formed in her throat, Shiloh answered the question as straight and honestly as was possible for her.
"Fifteen.."
She would have lied through the skin of her teeth, told him she was seventeen or eighteen just because she could get away with it, but there was a good chance he would call her on her bluff. After all, hers and Minnie's sweet sixteen had quickly become the talk of the town.
"We should play again."
Reality had struck her harder than she would have imagined it would have, and her body had called a lock down to protect her heart from crumbling. All walls were up, made of steel, and almost indestructible, and she'd prepared herself for the worst, the curse of being the best friend and little sister. Ironically, she was the older sister.
"What about Mario smash cart?"
Cocking one of her eyebrows, she leaned forward to grab the game, her shirt rising up only slightly once more, and once she'd grabbed the game, she tugged at the hardly stretchy fabric, and covered the small of her back, placing the game into the system shortly after.
"I'll give you a chance to redeem yourself."
She gave him a subtle wing, ignoring all talk about the party, and her friends, and focusing more on other topic such as what he did for fun.
"You...write songs?"
She asked the question, pausing only momentarily so they could pick new characters on a new game, and of course she chose yoshi. Grinning, she pressed start, watching the screen as a multitude of colors flashed until finally she could see a cartoon drawn race track with the start line about to be dust in her tracks.
"You know, I play a pretty mean guitar..or bass. We should jam some time."
Keeping her eyes focused on the screen, she listened to the upbeat, short sounds indicating the beginning of the race, and she smirked as her fingers nimbly ran over the controller, her car spinning out of control and racing around a track she wasn't even sure she could handle in real life. Between the banana peels, and obsticles appearing from thin air, some one was going to crash and die.
"I umm..well I jame on my guitar, or bass depending on the day. I play a shit load of sports including basketball, soccer and hockey, video games are a must, and...I skateboard.."
The last one shocked most guys. Truth be told, she was talented, and she has a wide variety of talents and skills that came in handy on more than one occasion. She wasn't going to mention herself being a card shark, however. Guys had found it intimidating enough that she could kick their ass in almost any sport or activity they had mastered over the short span of their lives, it was going overboard to tell them that she could kick their ass at poker as well.
Shiloh took a deep breath, focusing more on the screen while her heart continued to race. She found it terrible that she could be this attracted to a boy she'd only just met, and it was aggravating for her to not be able to concentrate on anything else.
With a swerve and the press of one button speeding her cartoon character's car up, she giggled and began to gloat, teasingly of course, and he simply responded by notifying her that he was letting her win.
"Oh yea?"
Shiloh raised her eyebrow, turning her attention, briefly, toward Logan, grinning from ear to ear, her dimples perfectly in tact.
"I'm kind of disappointed. I told you to bring your A-game."
With that, she turned her attention back to the game. The short amount of time she'd taken to claim her disappointment in him had put him in the lead, and she silenced herself long enough to not only try to catch up, but to lose.
"Aww come on! I was so in the lead! I had that in the bag! You totally distra..."
Her sentence remained unfinished, and she found herself back in the same position she'd been in before, only inches away from him with her eyes buried and lost in his. Her heart was moving at rapid speeds as she leaned in only a smidge, losing her breath while she lost all control. Her walls had crumbled, and they hadn't even put up a fight.
It had been an intense moment, and as quickly as it had come, it had gone.
"I..uhhh..water...is fine. I'll take water."
She nervously smiled as she leaned back, letting her back rest against the side of his bed, looking up to the ceiling as he left the room to go fetch beverages.
"Great, Shiloh, great..now that you've won the biggest spaz attack of the year award.."
Shiloh simply rolled her eyes, taking a few deep breaths to regain her compsure, but it was useless, she'd become a complete mess, now matter how well composed she looked from the outside. She was right in thinking an eighteen year old boy would have no interest in a fifteen year old girl, right?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - logan was afraid of what her responce would be when she figured out his real age. the way she repeated the number back to him worried him. "uh yeah." he said even though he knew she had heard him perfectly fine. he waited patiently for her answer though he thought he might already know the answer to that. he had heard a lot about a sweet sixteen birthday coming up and he was pretty sure it was shiloh's and minnie's. weren't the birthday girls supposed have dates to that? he wondered quickly if shiloh had a date yet. when she finally said her age, he could tell she was nervous about it. "that's cool. i think that's how old my brother is," logan knew that she was pretty young. especially someone like him who was kinda looking for a real relationship. she was still young and had her whole life ahead of her. the senior turned to look at her and gave her a small smile. "age is just a number," he whispered to her. he was trying to reassure her that he didn't care about the difference.
he nodded his head as she reached for the game. her shirt went up to once again reveal her tattoo. he sighed as he saw it. there was something about tattoo's that he just loved though he didn't have any himself. but quickly it was gone as she pulled her shirt back down. when she put the game in and asked him about writing songs, he laughed a nervous laugh. "heh yeah. just something i do on the side. don't really know if they're any good though," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. logan never really liked to brag about his song writing but he had a few that he was actually really proud of. the boy tried to focus on the new game but he found himself wanting to focus more on her than what he was doing on the tv screen. "yeah that would be awesome. my brothers are better at guitar than i am but i know how to do some stuff," he couldn't believe this girl. she was one of a kind by far. she played sports and played an instrument. there was no way that logan could not be attracted to her. he had never met a girl like her.
as the game continued on, logan couldn't help but feel that he might actually have a chance of beating her. the track was intense and luckly he had played this game a bunch of times or he might be sliding off the edge like shiloh was. he listened intently to the rest of her interests. "wow that's pretty amazing. i can't skateboard to save my life," he said shaking his head. that was one thing he wasn't afraid to admit she could beat him at. "soccer and baseball on the other hand, i could kill you at," he said with a teasing grin.
"totally." he said with another grin. part of that was true though. he wasn't exactly letting her win but he wasn't playing his best because there was too many distractions. like the pretty girl sitting so close to him. he caught her looking at him and that's when he made his move on the game making him the winner of that round. "haha yes! told you i was letting you win before" his grin grew wider as he waited for her reaction to him winning. when she stopped mid sentence that's when he knew something between them was going to happen. she was feeling the same thing as him at that moment. the need to kiss each other. but they just met! that didn't seem to matter now though. the attraction to each other was way too high. when she leaned in he closed the distance. it wasn't a long kiss but it was one of the best he had ever had. "I uh yeah. i'll get some water," he said standing up. logan opened the door and before heading to the kitchen he turned to look at her. he smiled one last time before trying to find the kitchen.
yes trying was the right word. he had never been in a house so big. well except for shiloh's. ok so he had never lived in a house so big and he was always afraid of making a wrong turn and ending up who knows where. he went into the kitchen and saw carson and caden already sitting at the table eating. they both gave him a look and he rolled his eyes. "what?" he asked grabbing two glasses out of the dish washer. "how's the girl?" carson asked taking a bite of his sandwhich. "the girl is shiloh and she is fine," he said trying to ingore them as he filled up the glasses with ice and water. "you so kissed her dude" caden said with a laugh. "shut up," logan said leaving the kitchen. he could hear his brothers laughing at him from behind.
he was glad when he found his room easily enough. he carefully handed her one of the glasses of water and sat down next to her. "so umm about not going to the party. i think that's a good idea," he said turning his body so he was facing her. "i uh-about the kiss.." he didn't know what to say. logan had to admit it was amazing. hopefully she had felt the same way. he never knew a girl could actually be brave enough to make the first move like shiloh just had.
